Overcooked

Screenshot of Overcooked, Team17

This tutorial is based on Overcooked, published by Team17. A chaotic couch co-op cooking game for one to four players. The gameplay has rooftop camera 3D view of the environment (which is the kitchen in this case). Player can move around and pick up food or ingredients that need to be process in certain workstation like cutting board or stove. Then they can served the food on plates and continue with the next order. Well we are going for the basic structure cause it's just tutorial, for education purpose.

It's very basic, just the bare bone of the gameplay concept. Here you can:
  • Pick up Food/Ingredients
  • Place them on table or cutting board
  • Process the Ingredients into food
  • Place them on plates
  • Served the order

Final thoughts

Some parts are still buggy like the control are not always responsive or the object doesn't place correct or just physics away. It's a starter for me so I call it "Reasonable Win". Identify the problem is one thing, fixing it is another.
