Final Year Project - Environment Design Process

Image
Semester VIII: Virtual Reality Project 2 ExplorerVR: Oil Platform Environment Design Process As the application title suggested, the environment of course take place onboard an offshore platform or oil rig. We wanted the user to be able to explore the  3D Environment of an  Offshore Platform without actually needed to go one, so the design has to be accurate and details but not too much or else it was take too long to model. The gameplay experience will be short anyway so there's no need to create a large area that they won't have time to explore anyway. This also will be easier for us to guide the user to the parts that we want to show and educate them about how offshore platform works in general and what the workers onboard are tasked so they can expect what kind of career or lifestyle they will have. Tour Level South East Isometric View:  Helipad, Process Section, Power/Utilities Section The First Level of the experience is the Tour . This is where experience st...

Semester VIII: Virtual Reality Project 2 ExplorerVR: Oil Platform Concept & Design The concept of ExplorerVR: Oil Platform will work like visiting an physical Oil Rig or museum related to Oil Rig. User can walk or explore the  3D Environment of an  Offshore Platform. This is for the user to understand how offshore platform works in general and what the workers onboard are tasked so they can expect what kind of career or lifestyle they will have. It is also planned out like a documentary where viewer are shown only certain parts of the platform that are crucial to the understanding of it and worth grabbing their attention. The second Level of the experience is the Lab. This is where user will have some hands-on interaction with the daily life of a chemical engineer and their day-to-day tasks will look like, well atleast one part of it. Without getting too complicated and deep for them to be interested to do the experiment thus have to keep simple yet fun to play with. ...

Semester V: Virtual Reality Design 4 - Final Assignment InfantCareVR In-Game Environment For the Final work in Virtual Reality Design 4, It's to finish develop our main VR game. As usual, I work as Lead Programmer for the application so I don't need to focus much on the artistic and visual design part. I don't need to bother relying on others to do something. Plus, My teammates aren't that into coding or tweaking Unity3D anyway. They did quite great job on their 3D Assets. Munirah was In-charge of Baby Models and Item such bottle and Diapers. Raisa was doing the Furniture and Decoration Items. Joanne was doing the Baby Room and the interior design. Afshie as the Project Leader does most of design and research part for the UI Design such as Instruction and References. Overall, everyone did their part well and things were progressing smoothly. Walkthrough Final thoughts VRD4 Ended better than I expected where each member actually take their tasks seriously and put their h...

Unity3D - InfantCareAR

Semester V: Virtual Reality Design 4 - Assignment 2 InfantCareAR As part of Virtual Reality Design 4, we were tasked to develop an AR version of our main VR game. I work as Lead Programmer for the application so I don't need to focus much on the artistic and visual design part. I just make it easier for them to edit the sprites and creative work without affecting the code.  How the apps work? By using Vuforia as the AR development kit, I was able to setup the basic for the models and trackers. The rest are just details work like model information and user interface design. Walkthrough Final thoughts After 4 semester of working as Project Group Leader, I finally can take a break for taking much lower role (Lead Programmer not exactly minor role) but it's better cause I can focus on the coding and scripting side without worrying other's taskes.

Unity3D - Rocket Simulation

Image
Semester V: Simulation Scripting - Assignment 1 Rocket Simulation This is some SpaceX level shit right here  The Assignment has 4 Lab submission, each improved from the previous. We learn to use the basics of Array and Loops, how to use  instantiate to spawn game object, and using collider to trigger certain task. This subject continue from the previous subject, Behavioral Modelling which we learn the basic of Unity3D scripting. So the assignment updates weekly on what we need to add or script it. So I based my model after favorite space company, SpaceX's Falcon 9 Block 5 and prototype Starship SN8. Plus their design is simple but aesthetic so I quite enjoy working on it. Lab Submission 1-4 Lab 1 - Spawn rockets at random position using instantiate. Lab 2 - Spawn 25 rockets in 5x5  and then launch them at random velocity Lab 3 - Spawn 3 rockets that will stop at the correct altitude using collider Lab 4 - Spawn 25 rockets from Lab 2 and 3 rockets from Lab 3. The 25...

MMU Campus Minecraft Build Log #2

Section 2: Faculty of Creative Multimedia/Applied Communication My faculty, the biggest faculty (in terms of building size), so I have much memory of the inside-out of the facilities. I can get right with the interior & exterior when I have access through. Interestingly, FCM (Faculty of Creative Multimedia) and FAC (Faculty of Applied Communication) are actually the building but in different blocks. The left bigger one is FCM while the right one closer to STAD is FAC.  The front Entrance which behind at the car park however most students use the back entrance from the students hostels and center point (Library/CLC/FCI/FOM/etc.) Walkway from LP/CLC to FCM This is actually the back entrance within the campus area FCA Building  2nd back entrance connected from Hostels and STAD There's a "small" garden in the building near the Lecturers  offices Lecturer Offices (All of them) The stairs from the back entrance to the gather point Gather point from Ground Floor Gather point...
